Thursday.
Arrival.
OK, the 11 hour trip to Athens was a total bitch, but it got there on time. Hung out at the airport for a couple of hours and left for Larnaca. Landed at 2ish. Wheelchair assistance was very helpful throughout the whole trip. No standing in long lines, no waiting for security, or passport control. So, if you're traveling, take someone with you who's handicapped. Makes life a lot easier. Rode with Frixos from the airport. Had a nice ride. Didn't recognize anything.
Had soup @ uncle John's house. It was very pleasant. Food was very good, company outstanding. Both of us were worn out from the trip. Before dinner Frixos took me around for a short tour. Saw old Nicosia (walls), the marketplace, some archeological dig, embassy row and back to uncle John's house for soup, and yemista. MMM tasty...
Then, back to the house to get settled in and try to sleep.
Random thoughts.
I remember everything being bigger than it is now...
