So today, I was er... directed to go buy some tomatoes. Seemed like as good time as any to take the leap into the left hand driving world. Met Polydoros, got the feel for the car and blasted off. Drove around a bit, got the basics down and headed to the open market. Stolled around for a while, looking and chatting. Met up with Kostakis, had some coffee, bought some honey, and went back to finish shopping. Came back with onions (just pulled from the ground) tomatoes, zucchini, soutzouko, (pictures) and various other sundry items that looked good at the time. Drove back without an incident. As a bonus, on the way back we stopped by Lazaros (Kitro.... - Yea, he's a relative) shop and bought me some sunglasses. Man, am I styling! Man, am I poor! But, hey, I'm not going to buy these again and dang, I'm in Cyprus...
Had lunch with Pepa and Niko. Fish was outstanding as was the octopus. Went to the travel expo at the er... “expo pavilion?” with cousin Julie and one of her friends. Got a whole bunch of literature on traveling to Europe... Strange, as there were hardly any vendors advertising trips to UK. Lots of literature on Prague tho...
Stopped by a coffee shop with the cousin to chat and get to know each other. Spent a few hours talking. Had an excellent time and am glad she took the time to hang out. Lots of laughs and stories. I think we decided we still liked each other after 35 years. After coffee, went for a late dinner of Sheftallies and souvlaki. (Yea, sheftallies again.) Chatted some more and was dropped off for some sleep.
