5/09/10 - Lunch with Bobbe - Dinner with Stella

So, today we had lunch with cousin Bobbe. Cousins George, Mike and their respective wives were there as were Yiannakis' parents and Bobbe's kids.

This kite was made by Pete and cousin George during Pete and Amy's last visit. Bobbe kept it. Here, we're inspecting it for airworthiness and seeing if Mike can fit his head in the tail.


If anyone remembers, from last week, Omonoia won the championship and there were celebrations. Well, it turns out that the clinched the championship last week, but officially the season ended this week. So, the celebrations began in earnest. Here are some pictures of the mayhem outside the house. Both lanes of traffic were blocked for a while so celebrations could take place at the local club.


I grabbed the camera and started shooting. I asked these guys to turn around and celebrate for the camera. The ones in the back said "no photos". The guy driving said come to the front and shoot everyone. Well, you see the result. The front passengers smiled and waved, and the ones in the back turned around or hid behind their hands...
After the streets cleared, we went to Tseri for dinner with Stella and family. Here we are.

Came home, hit the hay for the big adventure tomorrow.
