5/11/10 - Tuesday - Lemesos - Take One
So, today we were invited to have lunch with Cousin Petros in Lemesos. As always, had a great time and had some good food. Petros' sons came by and we go to meet them too.
On the way back, we decided to go thru the mountains and see some sights. We went back to the Arakas site where I wanted to take a picture of this sycamore tree. Note the supports on left and right of the main trunk.
We continued on and stopped by an old lady selling fresh fava beans by the side of the road. She had just pulled the plants to replace them with green beans and was selling the last of the favas. She and mom started chatting, and next thing you know, we're picking Strouthkia, Moloches, etc. She and mom exchanged agricultural tips... It was a very pleasant impromptu connection.
Back home, we passed out, woke up for a light dinner and back to bed for the night.
That's all for now... Stay tuned...
