5/25/10 - Tuesday - Kastoria, Thessaloniki, Larnaca
So, today was travel day. This was the view from my room.
OK, here's something I don't understand, but it may be that I'm just a typical American...
See? This is the bathtub, right? The glass only covers 1/2 the space. There's no way to enclose the whole space so no water splashes out - no curtain to pull, no glass to slide, no towel to hang... The same was true for the hotel in Thessaloniki. I don't get it. What's the point? I mean even if you stand right under the shower head, it splashes everywhere. Needless to say, the floor was wet after every shower. It seems the more you pay for the hotel, the more inconvenient the bathrooms. Oh, and you get bath and shower gel, but no washcloth unless you request it - in either hotel. If anyone can explain it, I would appreciate it.
The bed, however was fantastic.
We had breakfast, stayed around the hotel playing cards, had lunch, and headed out.
Drove the 2 hours to Thessaloniki airport, changed flights (+25Euro) and headed to Larnaca.
That's all for now... Stay tuned...
